Hello! Welcome!

This is my first blog post in more than 3 years. I previously maintained blogs for classes and just put up notes and links for my students.  This time I wanted to share my thoughts (as well as rants, reviews, and reflections) on ELT in general and specifically about teacher development. I am looking forward to seeing how this experiment plays out. Thanks for stopping by.

    Hey Mike,
I’m Jason Lee and I just came by after receiving your comment on my blog. I was a bit surprised when I got a comment from you because the blog is actual just a reflective teaching journal that I have to do for my TESOL class. I thought it would just be seen by other class members. Actually, it’s my first blog ever so I don’t really know much about it, except for how to post and that’s about it. I was wondering how you stumbled upon my blog.

Since we are both English teachers in Korea, it seems that we will have a lot to share regarding our experiences in the classroom. Anyway, glad to make your acquaintance. I’d like to get to know a little more about you.

      Hi Jason!

Thanks for stopping by! I have a google alert set up for “reflective teaching” and “reflective practice” (and things like that) so your blog came to me as a google alert. It must have been a surprise to get comments when you weren’t expecting them. I hope I didn’t infringe on your privacy.

I have really enjoyed your blog and liked the emphasis on reflection (which makes sense as it is a reflective teaching journal!).

You might be interested in checking out #KELTchat or the blogs listed there.
A growing number of teachers in Korea are blogging about teaching these days.
If you click here http://keltchat.wordpress.com/ and look on the right menu “Keltchat bloggers” you will see some.

Thanks again and I am looking forward to more sharing!

      Cheers,
      Mike
